Freya is a 5# Chihuahua so, I was concerned about using any kind of topical repellent and really didn't want to give any ingestables.
So far so good.
I’ve had it on my dog about three weeks and the shipping was great. Communication was good.. I just pray that it works.
After the 4wks of waiting my dogs are still getting ticks even when using the spray. I don’t think this is legitimate with keeping ticks away.
Hi Rita. We're sorry to hear that you're not seeing the results you were hoping for with the Pet Shield Tag. There are a number factors that influence how easy or hard it is to keep pests away from your pet, including the prevalence of pests For most pets the tag alone is enough to offer full protection, but in more challenging situations it may require an additional layer of protection. You can find more details here:

We highly recommend that you try supplementing the tag with our Pet Shield Chews - this combined with the tag will almost always be effective, even in the most challenging situations. If we can help you further, please let us know.
Regards,
The BioPower Pet Team
It’s to soon to say how effective they are, but it is the only chewable supplement he will eat with out me hidding it in something different.
I love the concept. No idea if it works as it is only one of many things we are doing to be as natural as possible.
My dog has Anaplasmosis and so I am terrified of ticks!! We've been using this for almost a month now and I haven't seen a tick on Luca in a few weeks! Fingers crossed it keeps up!!!!
I got 3 tags, I like the look and light weight on collar. I was just seeing a couple fleas on the dogs when I got them. I combed the dogs daily with flea comb, and it's been just over 4 weeks and don't find any more in flea comb. These tags are a great tools in the battle of fleas and tics.
Although it took the 3 week period, we have not seen an embedded tick on our dog. We inspect her from head to toe several times a day and miraculously we are finding no ticks. She had one (biopower tag) last summer as well; we were just as pleased then as we are now. Thank you for providing an alternative to chemical treatments that hurt not only dogs but the fragile eco system we all live in.
This is my third year using the bio power pet tags. The first 2 years were really good, with virtually no ticks at all. This year I’ve been pulling several ticks off both my dogs. I hope it starts working better soon. I know there is a lag time for the tags to get up to full power.
Hi Linda! Yes — there is typically a 3–4 week activation period for the tags to reach full effectiveness, so you’ll continue seeing improvement as that builds back up!
The chews are loved by my dog and cats
They go along great with my bio power tag my dog wears for protection from fleas and tics
I have noticed a big difference positively
I have used the pet shield in my mini schnauzer for over a year with no sign of ticks or fleas. I would definitely recommend it.
Has been on now for roughly a month now and seems to be working. We live in tick country and we found two crawling around her neck but had not bitten her so not sure if that was because of the tag?
My dogs loved the Brewers yeast, and then when I looked at the ingredients, I saw that at the very top of the line that it contained catnip! Why do I want to dope my dogs up and mellow them out every time I give them something to deter fleas?!!! This is a good formula, but you all could’ve done without the catnip because that is actualy mood altering.
Thank you for sharing your feedback! The amount of catnip included in the formula is very small and is not intended to sedate or “dope up” dogs. Catnip can affect pets differently, but in dogs it is generally associated more with mild calming support rather than intoxication or sedation. The chews are primarily formulated around brewer’s yeast, garlic, and B vitamins to help support making pets less attractive to fleas and ticks.
We live on a farm and our dog is in the long grass all if the time. It's a pretty bad tick year, so we've been watching him closely. We've only found 1 little tick on him. Other years with other products we would be finding ticks daily on him. Beyond happy!
Ella has had her tag on now for 3 1/2 weeks now and she has had only 3 ticks in that time frame where she normally would have 3 or more ticks/day. We live in a wooded area.
So I am pleased.
This stall tag is keeping his 12x18 area free of flying insects in coastal SC. Impressive!!
This has worked so well, I share this science and your product with as many people as I can. I share the web site and your emails.
Not a tick or flea in almost two years on three dogs who are yard dogs except when we go camping. I do add precautions of a shampoo in areas known for ticks, to be clear, only on hand and not used until absolutely necessary
Very happy with how they have worked for our two dog. No fleas or ticks have been found on them and we live in Florida and have 7 acres. Would like to know can I use them on puppies that are 2 lbs?
I found 2 ticks during bath time and also found around five fleas.
I believe there may have been more if I hadn't put on the BioPower Tag. Just not sure. I'll be very watchful in the coming weeks. It's possible the ticks were already on my puppy before I put the BioPower Shield on.
So I am very hopefull this Pet Shield tag will work and is working.
Thanks
Love the bio shield tag I can add to Lunas collar. No need for all the chemical **** that would make her not feel good. Love it 😊
I’m still finding ticks on my dog, not many are embedded in her fur, but it’s an almost daily occurrence.
I was really hoping this product would work.
We have used sprays and have treated the lawn and are unfortunately are still finding them. (Located in East TN on 10 wooded acres)
Hello Brooke,
We understand your concern, and we’re happy to help. What many customers (and we ourselves) have noticed is that this year has been an especially challenging pest season in many regions, with heavier tick activity than usual. Because you’re located in East Tennessee on 10 wooded acres, that would definitely be considered a very high-exposure environment.
It’s also important to keep in mind that the tags do require a full 3–4 week activation period to reach optimal effectiveness. There are a number of factors that influence how easy or difficult it is to keep pests away from a pet, including the severity of the environment and overall pest prevalence.
Using sprays and treating the yard are excellent supporting steps, and in especially heavy tick environments many customers also choose to layer with our Pet Shield Chews for additional support.

It’s too soon to tell right now because our weather has been too cold. I did have the dogs and cats shield that I liked very much. I am hoping that this is just as good I do believe in going natural thank you.
