Instructions & FAQs for BioPower Pet Sprays
Instructions
- Calm & Chill - Shake gently. Apply 4 to 6 sprays to your pet depending on their size, once before stressful situations or daily for anxious pets. Simply spray from head to tail, including the top of the head and between the shoulder blades, and gently rub into the fur. You may also spray it in your pet's crate or bed to create a more relaxing environment. In cases of chronic anxiety the effectiveness of the spray builds over time, so it may take a few days to see a noticeable difference and even a few weeks to reach its full effectiveness. For situational stress please apply 5 - 10 minutes prior when possible.
- Going Strong - Shake gently. Apply 4 to 6 sprays to your pet depending on their size. Use daily for senior pets and chronic health conditions, and may be used multiple times daily to support periods of severe illness.

- Pet Shield - Shake gently. Apply 4 to 8 sprays to your pet, depending on their size, before they go outside each day. Simply spray from head to tail, including the top of the head, between the shoulder blades and once or twice on the belly, and gently rub into the fur. See the last two FAQs below for special information related to the Pet Shield spray.
- So Soothing - Shake gently. Apply 2 or 3 sprays to each of the affected areas and gently rub into the fur, and spray once each on the top of the head and between the shoulder blades. Use daily when your pet is experiencing symptoms. May be used multiple times daily during periods of intense symptoms. The effectiveness of the spray builds over time, so it may take a few days to see a noticeable difference and even a few weeks to reach its full effectiveness.
It is fine to apply any of the sprays as often as needed, as frequent use during times when symptoms are present will improve its effectiveness.
Frequently Asked Questions
Once daily is enough for most of the sprays (see specifics in the instructions above). For acute situations they may be used multiple times per day.
Yes, you may use up to 3 different sprays (and their corresponding tags) at one time.
After a few minutes when the spray has dried it is fine if your pet gets wet. Bathing or swimming will not lessen its effectiveness.
Yes, the spray is safe for any age pet, young or old, and so will be effective for puppies and kittens as well.
No, the spray is designed for use only on dogs and cats. Although it certainly would not hurt another animal to use it, we would have no idea whether it would be effective and would not be able to honor the money back guarantee for that purpose.
Yes, the spray is safe to use for pets who are pregnant or nursing, those with a chronic health condition and those that are taking medication.
Your pet's health is affected by many factors, and although the spray will definitely help with the situation it is designed to address, it is not designed to cure diseases and it will not completely change your pet's demeanor.
For example, a hyper-anxious pet will not suddenly become mellow by using the Calm & Chill spray, but it will take the edge off of their anxiety. And a dog suffering from arthritis will not bounce like a puppy by using the Mobility Magic spray, but it will help to alleviate the discomfort that it feels. Regardless of which spray you are using, your pet will definitely notice a difference, even if you don't see any dramatic changes.

Yes, the BioPower Pet products have been endorsed by many holistic veterinarians. It is important to know that the Pet Shield spray is a flea repellent, but not a flea infestation treatment. If your pet already has fleas, you will need a treatment to remove them. A non-toxic flea powder or simple diatomaceous earth (available at most hardware stores) are excellent natural treatments for flea infestations.
The Pet Shield spray is appropriate for the vast majority of pets and their lifestyles and will keep them flea and tick free. However, there are several factors that influence how difficult it will be to keep your pet pest-free, and in some cases it may be necessary to supplement the tag with other natural pest repellent approaches.
There are 3 factors that affect the ability to keep pests off of your pet:
- The amount of pests in the environment - this is mild to moderate for most parts of the country for most of the year, but there are exceptions - for example in heavily forested or swampy areas at certain times of the year, especially in the spring.
- The amount of time the pet spends outdoors - if the pet lives outside most or all of the time it makes it more challenging to keep pests away, again depending to a large extent on the local environment.
- The health of the pet - the less healthy the animal the more pests will be attracted to it, so it is important to feed a healthy diet, and to be aware that a pet with a chronic health condition will be more susceptible to pests.
So when using a natural pest repellent approach, in some cases it may be necessary to use a multi-layered strategy with more than one natural solution - which would include the Pet Shield spray, and ideally the Pet Shield Tag, as the foundation, for they will do the lion's share of the work.
An excellent option for boosting the effectiveness of the spray and tag is our Pet Shield Chews, which you feed your pet daily as a treat or in their food. These tasty soft chews are made of 100% natural ingredients that include an array of B vitamins and a healthy amount of garlic - both of which are known to make dogs and cats less attractive to pests. They also contain the same pest-repelling energy frequencies contained in the tag, so the effect is double!
Please remember that no natural approach to pest control is going to be 100% effective 100% of the time. Conventional treatments that rely on chemical pesticides to poison the pests can get close to 100% - because they are poison and poison always works. But putting poison on or in your pet's body is of course not good for their health, so please be patient and go to the extra trouble to use the natural approach.
In summary, for the vast majority of pets the BioPower Pet Shield Spray will be all they need for effective pest control, but it is best used with the Pet Shield Tag. For truly maximum protection, it may also be helpful to supplement with the Pet Shield Chews (which offer additional health benefits, by the way).
